Ever since joining my church 11 years ago, I have been telling the leaders in YW that I would love to help at YW Camp so if they ever needed a sub.....just call and I'll move everything I need to around so I can go!!
Well it finally happened....so I am leaving tomorrow morning to go up to some cabins in Pinedale which are owned by some of our Ward members. The camp they usually go to happens to be occupied for the Stake Treks so we actually get to sleep in beds, use regular bathrooms, get to cook on gas grills and even have Air/Heat if we need it. (I cant believe my luck!!)
I hear the ladies/gals talk about the experiences they had when they have gone and I hear/see the strength of their testimonies when they return so I have wanted the opportunity to experience it myself. And even though I have never gone myself, I know in my heart that the experience of attending Girls Camp is going to influence the lives of every Young lady who attends in a way that no other event could do!! And I constantly wonder how different my life would have been if I would have had the opportunity to experience it in my youth.
I'll let everyone know how it turned out when I get back....."T"

Welcome to my Story
WELCOME to those of you visiting!! My STORY started in IOWA where I lived for the majority of my life in Des Moines with my Family & Friends. I have always LOVED to play SOFTBALL which I started to play when I was 5 years old and I HAVEN'T STOPPED YET!
The scariest thing I have ever done in my life was moving my son (Patrick) and I to ARIZONA where I DIDN'T KNOW ANYONE except my Mom & Step-Dad.
And even though leaving EVERYONE & EVERYTHING I knew was the HARDEST thing I have ever done in my life.....it has also turned out to be the BEST thing I have done as well!!
Because when I got a job & saved enough money for my own place, I moved into an apartment where my FRONT DOOR happened to face the FRONT DOOR of my future husband. Before long, I learned about the gospel, agreed to be baptized & married the man who made my life wonderful, AUSTIN. We were blessed with the sweetest girl in the world (Lexi) in 1998 and the 4 of us lived in Mesa for 10 years. We decided to build a NEW home in the San Tan area and moved into our new home in 2006.
I am looking forward to the future and everything life brings to me & my family.
